Responsibilities The core responsibilities fall into three primary functions outlined below:
General Education Assessment Leadership and Strategy:
Collaborate with stakeholders across campus to review and refine existing systems and structures for assessing the GEP.
Facilitate and guide the assessment of the General Education Program (GEP).
Develop and implement strategies to measure the GEP’s impact on student success and workforce readiness.
Assessment Design, Data Analysis, and Training:
Design measures (when appropriate) and collect, analyze, and interpret data related to the objectives of the GEP and student learning outcomes.
Provide training and support to staff, faculty, and others in assessment methods and best practices.
Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation Support:
Participate in committees and councils led by Institutional Effectiveness.
Assist with overall assessment for the QEP.
Assist with narrative writing and collection of evidence for accreditation standards.
Establish and maintain a secure archive of GEP assessment information and serve as point of contact for retrieval.
Other Responsibilities Occasional additional duties based on needs and evolving priorities.
Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience
Master’s degree and more than one year of post‑degree experience in higher education in student assessment, learning outcomes or program assessment.
Other Required Qualifications
Applies research‑informed assessment practices to advance student success and continuous improvement.
Exercises sound professional judgment independently while contributing effectively to collaborative teams.
Manages multiple, concurrent projects across a matrixed organization while meeting established deadlines.
Builds relationships and influences stakeholders at all levels.
Thinks strategically and creatively to develop effective plans and sustainable assessment workflows.
Analyzes and synthesizes quantitative and qualitative data and communicates findings clearly to diverse audiences.
Demonstrates experience collaborating with university faculty.
Evidence of strong commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and responsible data stewardship.
Proficiency with educational software, including LMS and assessment software (e.g., Blackboard/Anthology).
