Canadian Tax Manager

Your role
Working closely with the Tax Partners and other senior tax staff to develop and implement tax planning assignments for clients
Performing technical research, developing and documenting tax planning recommendations
Reviewing Canadian individual and corporate tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
Consulting with clients regarding various business and tax planning needs
Adding value by identifying client service opportunities, including cross-team collaboration
Coach, mentor, and develop staff for high performance and professional growth
Share your skills with the broader team by developing and facilitating ongoing training opportunities
Engage with all levels of our team while working to bring our strategy to life and participate in firm-wide events that foster our amazing workplace culture
What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or equivalent field
Minimum of 2-4 years of total experience in tax within a professional services firm with a focus on private enterprises
Demonstrated success providing exceptional client service
Strong technical and analytical skills matched with problem-solving skills and professional judgement to help you find optimal solutions in an efficient manner
Strong project management and organizational skills Self-motivation with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
