We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager to join our consulting team, specialising in CPG retail execution and commercial strategy. This role requires a leader who understands how commercial strategy translates into flawless execution at the store level. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with deep expertise in field sales capabilities, including account management, territory & route planning, visit management, geo‑fencing, retail audits, compliance checks, pre‑sell/DSD order capture, next‑best actions, and promo execution. A strong understanding of digital retail execution technologies—including image recognition for shelf analytics and Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud)—is preferred. This role will lead client engagements that help CPG organisations elevate in‑store performance, improve field productivity, and modernise their retail execution ecosystem. What you will be doing
Lead retail execution and commercial strategy engagements, helping clients improve field productivity, in‑store execution quality, and commercial outcomes. Guide clients in implementing and optimisation of capabilities such as account management, territory and route planning, geo‑fencing, retail audits, compliance checks, next‑best actions, and DSD/pre‑sell ordering. Leverage image recognition technologies and advanced shelf analytics to drive automated compliance, retail insights, and improved execution. Manage project teams and provide mentorship to consultants and senior consultants. Advise on the design and deployment of retail execution solutions, ensuring alignment with client business processes. Build and maintain strong client relationships; serve as a trusted advisor for retail execution and field sales transformation. Partner with cross‑functional teams (Sales, IT, Category, Supply Chain) to create integrated solutions that enable scalable, sustainable field execution excellence. Conduct market and competitive analysis to help clients identify capability gaps and growth opportunities. Drive innovation, champion best practices, and promote continuous improvement across engagements. Support business development activities, including proposal creation, solution design, and client presentations. Your skills and experience
8+ years of experience in the CPG industry, with a strong focus on retail execution, field sales, or commercial operations. Proven leadership skills, including managing teams, coaching talent, and overseeing complex client engagements. Deep understanding of field sales processes: territory & route planning, visit management, geo‑fencing, retail audits, compliance, pre‑sell/DSD, and promotional execution. Hands‑on experience with image recognition technologies used for shelf execution, automated compliance, or retail insights. Preferred proficiency with Salesforce platforms, especially within CPG retail execution (e.g., Consumer Goods Cloud, CRM workflows, customer hierarchies, field execution modules). Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable execution plans. Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to partner across business and technology teams. High learning agility and the ability to quickly adopt and apply new concepts in consulting environments. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. Salary range: $203,000 – $250,000 Medical, dental, and vision insurance at no cost for employee‑only coverage.
