Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** Deliver engaging and effective instruction in automotive technology courses.* Develop and update curriculum to reflect current industry standards and emerging technologies.* Provide hands-on training in vehicle diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.* Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.* Maintain a safe and organized lab environment.* Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and curriculum planning.* Support students in achieving industry certifications and career readiness.* Perform other related duties as required.**Minimum Qualifications***The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.** ASE certifications in areas to be taught or the ability to obtain them by the start date with a minimum of 2,000 hours of documented industry experience in automotive repair or service.* Solid problem-solving skills.* Strong organizational and prioritization skills.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with others.**Preferred Qualifications*** Master ASE Certifications in areas such as Engine Performance, Engine Repair, Brakes, Suspension and Steering, Automatic Transmission, Manual Transmission, Electrical Systems, and Heating and Air Conditioning.* Advanced-level certifications including L1 Advanced Engine Performance SpecialistL3 Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Specialist.* Five or more years of industry experience in automotive repair.* Associate’s degree in Automotive Repair Technology.* Prior teaching or instructional experience, especially in a technical or vocational setting.* Experience in repair and calibration of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).* Hands-on experience with electric and hybrid vehicle service and repair.* Proficiency in module programming and vehicle electronics.## Illinois Central College offers a comprehensive benefit package for full-time employees, including:* ## paid time off;* ## 11 paid holidays;
