Summary:
The Regional Banking Relationship Manager III is responsible for acquiring new business relationships to Huntington and the continued development and deepening of relationships with existing customers. This is done by providing insights and guidance to business owners. Depending on market assigned portfolio size recommended as 30 to 80 clients. Business sales size $2 MM to $50 MM and credit exposure up to $25 MM. This banker will cross-sell and negotiate pricing and fees.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain profitable Business Banking relationships with sales size $2 MM to $50 MM and credit exposure up to $25 MM.
Effectively prospect new business and expand/deepen existing business relationships.
Meet with business owners to build strong relationships, understand their needs, recommend business solutions across the bank and negotiate pricing and fees.
Work well within a team environment and collaborate closely with internal partners to deliver customer solutions.
Build and maintain a robust external referral network.
Responsible for portfolio management of varying sizes and complexity, including quarterly portfolio reviews, CAR and collection of necessary documents.
Coordinate loan approvals through the Huntington Loan Center and partner with branch staff and internal product partners to deliver customer solutions and generate business sales.
Adhere to pricing discipline and credit quality standards.
Work with the Huntington Loan Center and Commercial Loan Servicing department to ensure accuracy and completeness of credit packages and delivery.
Monitor maturing loans and upcoming renewals.
Cooperate with and provide information to the central collections group for timely collections of past‑due loans and effective workout of graded credits.
Monitor daily overdrafts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4 year combination of education and Business banking or commercial experience)
Minimum of 5 years Business Banking or Commercial experience
Preferred Qualifications
General knowledge of business banking products
Analytical, credit and negotiating skills
Direct outside financial sales and business development experience
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Understanding of bank policy, procedures, products, and services
Strong verbal and written communication skills
PC skills
Exempt Status: Yes = not eligible for overtime pay, No = eligible for overtime pay
