Special Education Teacher

Monday–Friday, school hours
Job Summary ISO Workforce is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support school programs in the Northern California / Yuba–Sutter region. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction and behavioral, academic, and social-emotional support to students with a wide range of learning needs.
This position is ideal for educators who are passionate about inclusive practices, individualized supports, and creating meaningful learning experiences for diverse learners.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized academic instruction aligned with IEP goals
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt and modify curriculum to support student learning needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families
Manage classroom routines, behavior supports, and learning environments
Conduct assessments, track progress, and maintain compliance documentation
Support students in both general education and special education settings
Qualifications Required:
Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, or Extensive Support Needs)
Enrollment in an Education Specialist program with eligibility for an intern credential
Preferred:
Experience supporting students with disabilities in K–12 settings
Strong instructional design and differentiation skills
Familiarity with evidence-based practices and behavior supports
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Must Be Able To:
Pass background check and fingerprint clearance
Maintain accurate records and meet compliance timelines
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
