Job Summary The Neuroscience Sales Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geography, understanding customer needs, and supporting pull‑through activities while embodying Intra‑Cellular’s mission to improve the lives of individuals with neuropsychiatric, neurologic, and other disorders.
Job Responsibilities
Drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts in the assigned territory by calling on primarily Primary Care HCP offices and select PC targets in both in‑person and virtual settings.
Develop deep product and disease‑state knowledge to educate and engage healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on‑label prescribing.
Use assigned budgets effectively to achieve territory objectives, customizing discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant manner.
Work independently to drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.
Maintain understanding of the local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, sharing information with relevant internal stakeholders.
Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers and regions, selecting appropriate programs and resources for each customer, practice, or system.
Deliver special education to healthcare providers through appropriate programs within ITCI’s ethical guidelines.
Collaborate with the District Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that achieves all business objectives, capitalizing on formulary approvals and other opportunities.
Share best practices with other Neuroscience Sales Specialist‑II’s on common objectives.
Manage administrative tasks accurately, including work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, sample and expense reporting.
Meet or exceed all NSR deliverables and build a compliant business plan based on customer needs, resources, and product offerings.
Complete all company and job‑related training within required timelines.
Adapt to evolving environments, including telemedicine and virtual settings, while analyzing data to assess progress and identify opportunities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
Minimum of 1 year of documented success in B2B sales; previous experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical device sales preferred.
Experience with antipsychotic and/or bipolar sales is a plus.
Strong desire and passion for improving patient and caregiver lives; patient‑centric mindset expected.
High integrity, adherence to Company Compliance policies, and strong teamwork and cross‑functional skills.
Self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellent decision‑making judgment.
Track record of learning and adapting to evolving environments such as COVID‑19.
Agility and adaptability to the changing telemedicine/virtual environment.
Analytical skills to assess progress, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities.
Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills.
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
Availability for meetings outside normal working hours and occasional overnight travel; domestic travel to corporate headquarters and sales meetings may be required.
Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Salary Salary range: $79,000 – $130,000
