ASM GLOBAL, the leader in privately managed public facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Sr. Event Manager at ASM GLOBAL Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. This position reports directly to the Director of Events. Join to apply for the Sr. Event Manager - Concerts, Private and Corporate Events role at ASM Global. Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute event logistics from advance planning to load-out and settlement. Function as facility liaison to promoters and clients; manage, coordinate, and plan all aspects of events — primarily concerts, also private, community & corporate events, family shows, and sporting events. Lead on-site supervision of events and staff; supervise the private events manager as needed. Serve as facility liaison to promoters and clients and work with them to understand expectations of a successful event. Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Event Manager – Private Events to maximize revenue. Lead regular Event Production meetings with internal departments; ensure cross-department alignment, staffing, and communication with outside agencies and vendors. Prepare floor plans, seating, and event diagrams using AutoCAD; manage staffing deployments and equipment rentals. Coordinate events with vendors (subcontractors, decorating, A/V, food and beverage, and others) to ensure event success. Prepare event and labor estimates based on event needs and promoter/client requests; ensure contractual obligations and policies are maintained. Oversee union crew members (SEIU, IATSE 107 and 784) and contractors to ensure safety, compliance with ASM Global standards, CBAs, OSHA, and applicable safety codes. Work with finance on timely and accurate event settlements; execute administrative tasks (work orders, event reports, final invoicing). Provide support and develop ongoing training programs for Event Managers and Coordinators; develop Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and training manuals. Assist with special projects and assignments, including activations, concerts, sports, private and corporate events. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience Bachelor of Arts/Sciences or equivalent experience. 5–7 years' experience as a production manager working with venues, promoters or artists, involving event set-up, A/V, lighting, power and rigging. 2–3 years’ experience in private and corporate events, including event and A/V setup. Experience with family shows and sporting events preferred. 1–2 years of people management experience including coaching and mentoring; supervisory experience of union stagehands and event staff. Knowledge of event management and/or event operations. Proficient in MS Office; ability to learn AutoCAD (preferred). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Leadership, judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities; proactive and clear communicator. Ability to build relationships, lead a team, and assign tasks effectively. Excellent customer service skills for clients, guests, contractors, and facility visitors. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedules across multiple projects. Ability to read and interpret documents, floor plans, safety rules, and operating instructions. Thorough understanding of event setup, conversions, and venue operations. Strong knowledge of facility capabilities, industry terminology, and event-related services. Maintain professional relationships with clients, employees, patrons, and others. Adhere to all policies, risk management, safety procedures, and emergency procedures. Work according to ASM Global standards and lead by example; demonstrate reliability and timeliness. Excellent communication, dedication, and adaptability; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Other Qualifications Possess any required licenses, certificates, or training for operation of equipment in the facility. Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Physical Requirements
