Designers & Drafters – Timberbuilt
Location: North Collins, New York (Zip 14111). Applicants must reside in Western New York and be able to commute to our shop.

Architectural Designer You manage the pre‑construction design phase—meet with clients, develop floor plans, renderings, and construction drawings, ensuring compliance with codes.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with design staff to produce architectural drawings in AutoCAD (plans, sections, elevations)
3D modeling in SketchUp
Assist with contract paperwork and project management
Create renderings for marketing materials and client presentations
Coordinate drawings with the installation team
Engage with clients via phone, Zoom, and in‑person meetings
Manage a small team of drafters
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field
Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD and SketchUp for accurate construction documents
Experience with render engines such as d5 or Enscape
Team player who can integrate with design, operations, marketing, and sales departments
Strong design sense and attention to detail, with a taste for modern‑mountain style homes
Excited to work closely with clients on layout, mechanicals, landscaping, orientation, and interior design
Architectural Drafter Contribute to the design team by creating detailed construction drawings and renderings using AutoCAD and SketchUp. Communicate with clients and educate them throughout the process.
Responsibilities
Work under the Architectural Designer to produce drawings and renderings
Educate and interact with clients throughout the design process
Conduct code and product research
Provide administrative support as needed
Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Communication skills to discuss information with clients by phone and email
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
1–3 years of experience or a related degree
