As part of our mission to drive digital transformation in manufacturing operations, we are seeking an Opcenter Execution Discrete Product Architect to lead the deployment of industry best practice MES solutions at key customers. This role is central to helping our customers realize the full potential of the Digital Thread through Siemens’ Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and Opcenter Execution platforms.
Responsibilities
Guide customers through architecture and implementation of MES solutions with an emphasis on the following capabilities: production dispatching, work order management, traceability, WIP tracking, resource and material management, and integration with ERP and automation systems.
Lead customer workshops and document business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions across the Digital Thread.
Support solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
Investigate and resolve complex issues independently, applying creative problem‑solving approaches.
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practice development.
Define the architecture and deploy Siemens MES solutions, with a focus on Opcenter Execution Discrete.
Guide customers through complex digital transformations, ensuring alignment with industry standards such as ISA‑95.
Guide customer business process transformation to improve efficiency and adherence to best manufacturing practices.
Design and develop solutions within Siemens MES tools to provide customer value.
Requirements
Experience with Siemens Opcenter Execution Discrete
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent years of experience.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and MES concepts.
Experience deploying or supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Willingness to travel 50% and work remotely.
Preferred Requirements
Familiarity with business processes in one or more industries: Aerospace & Defense (primary), Automotive, Consumer Packaged Goods, Medical Device.
Technical skills in one or more of the following: C#, Mendix, SQL, scripting languages, integration frameworks, database management.
Familiarity with standards such as ISA‑95.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Familiarity with enterprise software deployment frameworks and methodologies.
Experience managing and administrating an MES platform.
Location St. Louis preferred location or 50% travel per month
Security Clearance
Special access programs will require US born, US citizenship with no dual citizenship held.
Candidate must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
