Direct Support Professional - Supported Living
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking a caring and energetic Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Columbia, MS. This position is part-time and will have options for weekend work. The Direct Support Professional plays a vital role in providing assistance with daily activities, accompanying consumers on outings in the community, and supporting treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.

Education: High School Diploma
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record (no moving violations within 3 years)
Must be able to obtain Class D license within 30 days of hire
Must maintain auto liability limits of 100,000/300,000/50,000
Copy of valid *CPR, MANDT, and other required testing results* upon hire
Experience working with the IDD population preferred
Responsibilities
Assist others with activities of daily living (ADLs) and model appropriate behavior
Provide transportation to and from facilities and community activities as needed
Perform other work‑oriented tasks as assigned by supervisor
Train participants in skills and conduct daily activities, training, and documentation for IDD day programs
Eat lunch on site with participants and take breaks on site
Help individuals learn skills for daily living appropriate to a home environment using pragmatic training techniques
Demonstrate the importance of community involvement, social interactions, and maintaining relationships
