The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing and growing relationships across an assigned customer base. This role handles inbound requests, makes targeted outbound calls, processes orders, resolves issues, and reinforces the company’s value proposition. Success in this role requires strong communication, consistent follow-through, and the ability to diagnose customer needs and match them with the right products and solutions. The ISR directly contributes to revenue growth, retention, and customer experience.

Customer Engagement & Outbound Sales

Make 15–30 outbound calls per day to grow wallet share and increase order frequency.

Communicate the company’s value, programs, and solutions.

Order Management & Support

Respond to customer requests for pricing, product details, availability, and order status.

Process orders accurately, including special orders.

Own customer issues end‑to‑end until resolved.

Research and resolve billing questions, product issues, and order discrepancies.

Follow up on open questions and ensure timely closure.

Value Presentation & Upsell

Recommend additional products based on identified needs.

Explain solution fit, handle objections, and advance the sale.

Confirm next steps and schedule follow‑ups.

Systems, Documentation & Coordination

Maintain accurate notes, next steps, and stages in CRM.

Communicate customer trends or issues to leadership.

Partner effectively with Operations, Service, and Marketing.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

2 years prior call center experience in a related field, with similar computer requirements

Knowledge of MS Office applications as needed to satisfactorily perform work assignments – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint as well as can learn company enterprise systems as needed.

Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.

Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Proficient in using office technology, including computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems, and virtual meeting platforms, as required for daily responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

Bending, lifting, and carrying materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Prolonged sitting (up to 8 hours), with intermittent standing and walking throughout the shift

Continuous use of fingers, hands, and arms for computer and office‑related tasks

Frequent use of office equipment such as computers, phones, and scanners (up to 8 hours daily)

Regular verbal communication via phone and in‑person interactions (up to 6 hours daily)
