Municipal Sales Manager
Kasco Marine, Inc is seeking a full-time Municipal Sales Manager. This will be a remote position.
Kasco Marine is a leading supplier and innovator of aerators, diffused aeration, floating decorative fountains, de-icing products, circulators, and tank mixers. Kasco has a well-established reputation for quality products offered to the residential, aquaculture, commercial, industrial, municipal, and resort industries. Kasco has been in business for over 50 years and is a small but quickly growing company located in Prescott, WI. Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, effective, and proactive Municipal Sales Territory Manager focusing on water/wastewater product sales and support, to join our team at Kasco. This role involves developing relationships with end users, distributors, and engineers while identifying growth opportunities, building brand awareness, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve sales goals. The ideal candidate communicates clearly and effectively, is a self-starter, and diligent in driving increased sales and market expansion using the company’s strategies and tactics.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Develop relationships with existing distribution to further growth of sales and product awareness.
Identify and nurture new distribution, including training, events, and demonstrations.
Identify and meet with engineers and firms that specialize in similar projects. Provide training and support for these firms to specify Kasco products.
Prepare and present tailored proposals, budget quotes and submittals while keeping up on projects and following through until the sale is complete.
Subject matter expert on wastewater and drinking water applications and product uses.
Identify new areas and/or products to be reviewed to continue growth.
Attend industry shows, nationally as well as regionally.
Give presentations at conferences and events.
On-site visits to distributors and end users to build rapport and identify new business opportunities.
Generate and follow up on leads from conferences and travels.
Required Qualifications
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time throughout the United States.
Proficient in public speaking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
Experience in technical sales, preferably within the water/wastewater treatment industry or similar.
Strong knowledge of the US municipal water and wastewater treatment processes and market.
Proven self-starter with a successful track record in chemical and/or equipment sales.
Proven success in commercializing and driving adoption of new products and/or technologies.
Demonstrate B2B technical sales experience, including account management and sales.
Energetic, personable, and customer-focused with strong relationship building and time management skills.
Excellent communication and people skills.
Comfortable working off-site.
Located within a reasonable distance to major airport.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, biology, aquatic sciences or related field.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Team player who enjoys working in a positive and collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30lbs for product demonstration, trade show set up, etc.
