Job Summary
Oversee the daily operations of the bar. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced bartender who can efficiently lead the team while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
Position Title Lead Bartender
Reports To Food and Beverage Manager
Location Palm Bar
Rate $15.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the bar.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor laws.
Oversee bar opening and closing procedures, including conducting end‑of‑day reports and cash management.
Manage the bar POS system, troubleshoot issues, and implement updates.
Train, mentor, and supervise bar staff to ensure service excellence.
Create and maintain a positive and collaborative team environment.
Schedule bar staff, ensuring proper coverage during busy periods.
Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations in coordination with management.
Organize and manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies.
Track and maintain proper inventory levels through regular counts and ordering adjustments.
Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and ensure product availability.
Develop and recommend seasonal or specialty drink menus in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager.
Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
Maintain product knowledge and suggest beverage pairings or recommendations.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience in a high‑volume environment.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of mixology, wine, and cocktail preparation.
Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Certified in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe).
