MS Technology is seeking a skilled Designer with expertise in AutoDesk products to support multi-discipline design projects for DOE, DOD, and commercial sectors. This role focuses on creating accurate 2D and 3D design packages that meet project specifications, regulatory standards, and client requirements.

Core Purpose Deliver high-quality design documentation and models that enable efficient fabrication, installation, and integration of complex systems and components.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Drafting: Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoDesk tools (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, P&ID, Inventor, Navisworks, Vault) for piping layouts, equipment plans, control panels, and facility layouts.

Project Support: Prepare Bills of Materials, datasheets, and fabrication packages; ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and DOE standards.

Field Coordination: Conduct walk-downs to verify site conditions, gather measurements, and incorporate updates into design packages.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and vendors to resolve design issues and ensure seamless integration.

Leadership: Provide guidance to junior designers and review deliverables for accuracy and completeness.

Skills & Tools

Proficiency in AutoDesk suite (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Inventor, Navisworks, Vault).

Knowledge of ANSI/ASME standards for design documentation.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams).

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical certification preferred.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in design using AutoDesk products.

Preferred

Experience in DOE or industrial projects.

Familiarity with Bentley MicroStation and SmartPlant tools.

Ability to obtain DOE Q-Clearance.
