Job Summary Analyses market and customer data, trends and internal KPIs to maintain, expand, and evaluate, the current and future business prospects. Provides support to commercial divisions, while offering excellent customer experience to current and future clients. Works with the trade/business development managers based on their needs, requirements of the department, market conditions and in-house expectations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assists the trade/business development managers in providing statistical data on market trends for the assigned region.
Tracks, measures, and analyzes commercial metrics specific to the trade region.
Gathers business intelligence to support the trade studies, and market strategies.
Provides customers, sales, other agencies with pricing and services based on demand, while interacting with MSC Head Quarters.
Interacts with multiple departments across divisions to make sure that customer needs are met.
Performs other related duties as assigned to support the trade/business development managers daily activities.
Required Skills / Abilities
Experience analyzing data and trends
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel, PowerBI and other reporting tools
Basic knowledge of supply chain environment (ocean maritime industry preferred)

Required Education and Experience

At least 2 years of proven work experience in sales (including inside sales and sales reporting), marketing, data analysis, business analysis, or reporting
Preferred Education and Experience
Maritime Degree (preferred)
Experience in shipping, supply chain, transportation
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Languages other than English
Experience in International Environment is a plus
