The Inside Sales Executive (ISE) is part of our Cardiometabolic business unit at Abbott Rapid Diagnostics and is located in Lake Mary, FL, at a new site. What You’ll Work On
In collaboration with team members, develop and execute a sales plan to achieve assigned sales goals. Outbound calling to current and prospective customers to build a sales funnel and close new business — minimum of 20-25 calls per day on average, with 8 meaningful conversations. Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with assigned accounts; maintain regular contact with top customers to ensure satisfaction and address issues. Utilize sales skills and training to uncover customer needs and position targeted solutions; navigate a complex sales environment with multiple decision-makers across hospitals, departments, lab managers, point-of-care coordinators, pathologists, supply chain managers, and other healthcare professionals. Navigate both hospital environments and physician offices, urgent care centers, and large health systems. Sell effectively across the entire healthcare market; identify and present needs-based solutions and generate pricing proposals for varied customer scenarios. Close business in direct sales and through third-party distributors. Maintain extensive knowledge of Cardiometabolic point-of-care solutions. Conduct virtual/online product demonstrations, training, and other educational events. Conduct account research using tools (Salesforce.com, Power BI, Definitive Healthcare, Hospital Compare, etc.). Market outreach (surveys, notifications, campaigns, promotions, invitations, events, etc.). Manage inbound customer inquiries and schedule on-site meetings and product demonstrations for field sales teams as needed. Provide ad hoc assistance to team members, including proposal/quote generation and delivery of promotional materials. Follow up with customer requests with urgency and responsiveness to ensure exceptional service. Accurately maintain customer and activity data in Salesforce.com. Required
2 years of sales experience and a 4-year college degree required. Preferred
Ability to operate independently without frequent supervision; strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM experience (SFDC). Ability to learn new technical information quickly in a rapidly changing environment. Strong business acumen with understanding of pricing, profitability, contract management, ROI, etc. Understanding of healthcare drivers and how changes in care impact clinical, operational, and financial outcomes for hospitals and HCPs. Inside or outside sales experience with cold calls as part of the role. Analytical and customer-focused mindset; ability to develop and execute a business plan and derive insights from successes and failures. Interpersonal savvy and customer focus; ability to establish rapport and build effective relationships with customers. What We Offer
