Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager (Houston)

This role supports Sales Executives and clients by providing technical assistance, managing account changes, and ensuring delivery of high‑quality service and sales for personal lines insurance products. Responsibilities

Provide technical support to Sales Executives by analyzing client needs, coverage options, and quotations. Pre‑qualify prospects, analyze coverage needs, recommend coverages, and prepare and submit rating quotes and proposals. Complete applications for insurance, obtain client signatures, submit to carriers, and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies. Generate new business by seeking referrals, following up with the client database, and using the system to track prospects. Determine appropriate billing method (direct bill, agency bill, policy financing) and invoice accordingly. Review current client coverages at each service contract and recommend changes or new products to maintain high‑quality coverage. Process renewals, remarkets, and service requests for clients. Inform clients of policy changes, exclusions, and coverage needs, and educate them on appropriate coverage options. Verify policy and policy change information; facilitate corrections when necessary. Process incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately. Use agency credit and collection policies for invoicing and pursue prompt payments, including seeking cancellations from carriers when necessary. Identify reasons for cancellation requests, act to preserve accounts, and notify Sales Executives. Maintain agency financial equity through accurate and timely resolution of cancellations and other requests. Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals using the computerized system. Assist clients with first reports of claims, facilitate prompt carrier responses, and follow up on claim status per agency procedures. Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with Sales Executives. Qualifications

Property & Casualty Insurance License (Texas General Lines) required. Minimum 3–5 years of independent agency experience. Experience with insurance sales. Experience with Applied EPIC agency management system preferred. Required Skills & Knowledge

Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient and accurate processing of transactions. Maintain cordial and effective relationships with clients, coworkers, carriers, vendors, and other contacts. Stay informed about industry information, new products, legislation, coverage options, and technology. Effective oral and written communication skills to explain complex issues and interpret information. Knowledge of insurance products, markets, and underwriting procedures. Job Details
