We have an opening for a Commercial Sales Associate that’s a little
different from a traditional sales role . Instead of chasing cold leads, you’ll be building relationships with the professionals who shape commercial projects - general contractors, architects, developers, project managers, and others in the construction world.
Here is some of what a successful candidate will be doing
Building and maintaining relationships with general contractors, architects, developers, and project managers
Finding new commercial solar opportunities through Bidnet, Building connections, industry outreach and networking events
Designing systems accurately, build financial models, and support clear, data-driven project pricing
Attending networking events and connect directly with decision-maker
Responding to RFPs and work with internal teams to create strong proposals
Assisting project design and pricing using solar design tools and coordination with operations
Supporting marketing efforts and help increase brand visibility in the commercial market
We require
At least
1 year
of experience in commercial solar sales or business development
Understanding ofRFPs and the commercial bidding process
Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, interconnection processes, and solar financing option
Proficiency in
Helioscope , Energy Toolbase , Microsoft Excel, & CRM Tools
Good judgment, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative approach to commercial sales
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Bonus Points if you have a bachelor’s degree (preferred) This will NOT be the right opportunity for those who
Shy away from building relationships, cold-calling, or networking
Drop the ball, don't follow through, and don't keep accurate records
Are uncomfortable or averse to using sales, marketing, and customer relations technology
Lack initiative, drive, and a sense of urgency
Aren't personable, confident, and credible enough to represent Sandbox Solar and meet potential leads & referral sources.
This Role is Full Time (40+ Hours per week), and Hybrid with 2-3 days in the office per week.
Pay starts at $60,000 Base Annual Salary plus a monthly commission plan with a $30,000 draw and 2.5 percent commission after breakeven.
We estimate this job will be filled by December 15, 2025, but may extend it.
