Trade Settlement Analyst

Koch Ag & Energy Services (KAES) / Koch Minerals & Trading (KM&T) is seeking a Trade Settlement Analyst to join our trade settlement team! This role is by nature fast‑paced, dynamic, and challenging. In order to be successful, an individual must be able to adjust priorities quickly in response to frequently changing circumstances, must be accurate and timely in their communications, and must be comfortable in a culture that expects challenge and debate. In addition, this role may involve support of worldwide activities that operate continuously and in multiple time zones. As such, you will be required to work rotating US banking holidays to support settlements for businesses based in other countries. Candidates should possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to solve problems and help implement solutions. You will work with individuals at all levels of the business and will be a collaborative team member. Candidates should also be proactive, internally motivated, and willing to drive change in a fast‑paced organization while maintaining integrity and compliance. Key Responsibilities

Manage daily invoicing for both payable and receivable invoices Process journal entries and/or invoices timely, accurately, and efficiently Actively report, monitor, and collect outstanding invoices by building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers Perform month‑end financial close responsibilities such as booking accrual entries, monitoring close checks, audit support, ensuring compliance with company policies, and meeting closing deadlines Perform balance sheet reconciliations to adequately support transactions and account balances, and investigate and resolve any corrective action required Communicate effectively, collaborate, and build business partnerships across the organization Perform analysis of large financial data sets and utilize economic thinking to help drive profitable decision making Understand upstream and downstream processes and leverage that knowledge to drive value‑added change Drive transformation by identifying opportunities for improvements, challenging status quo, developing recommendations, and implementing solutions Seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for process improvements and/or automation, and propose solutions Advance and elevate the team by collaborating, seeking to learn, and more Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related Business program OR Two (2) or more years of a combination of experience in Finance, Accounting, and Analysis roles Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis and lookup, formula creation, queries, presentations) Preferred Qualifications

Experience using advanced analytics tools (Python, AI Copilots, LLMs, etc.) to generate insights and automate workflows Experience using SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or other data analytic and visualization tools Experience in the monthly/year‑end close process and experience in process innovation/transformation/implementation Knowledge or interest in commodities trading This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
