Responsibilities
Utilizes exceptional customer service skills to assess automotive problems and promote services by listening to customer’s description of symptoms
Able to clarify description problems, conduct inspections, check vehicle maintenance records, and examine service schedule.
Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and explaining provisions and exclusions.
Provide competitive estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, ultimately calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.
Prepares repair orders by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and service required; obtaining approval signatures; entering the order into service database system.
Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer’s approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns.
Capable of de‑escalating customer complaints and prioritizes maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
Checking on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and relaying communication to customer when technicians discover additional problems
Responsible for ensuring customer approval to provide additional work and be able to explain the scope of work performed and potential charges
Qualifications
Two (2) year experience in an automotive dealership position
General knowledge of vehicles
Strong verbal, written & electronic communication
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, vendors & manufacturers
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must be willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
