Responsibilities
Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
Effectively coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive.
Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
Unload and sort through store deliveries.
Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Grocery team members are aware of and following these procedures.
Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age and have 1‑3 years of retail management experience.
Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours is expected.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; able to give and receive direction in a team environment.
Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude toward customers.
Proven leadership ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff, with knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
Strong focus on detail, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent organization and planning skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
Physical ability to vertically transfer milk trays up to 60 lbs., and transfer boxes up to 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance.
Repetitive squatting, kneeling, or bending for extended periods.
Pay Range The pay range for this position is $16.80 - $23.50 per hour. Sprouts determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications.
