As Softchoice’s newest Commercial Development Account Executive, you help businesses seize the enormous opportunities of digital transformation. You challenge customers out of their comfort zone while sustaining and strengthening relationships. You do it all alongside one of North America’s most trusted technology services and solutions providers.
The Commercial Development Account Executive (CDAE) is a direct quota carrier, managing an average of 15‑20 accounts in an assigned territory. You handle overall account management, maintain customer relationships to positively impact our Net Promoter Score (NPS), grow accounts by aligning our capabilities to a customer’s desired business outcomes, and position Softchoice as a trusted strategic partner. You are responsible for all aspects of account management, including processing quotes and orders and overdelivering on customer expectations.

You help customers bridge gaps in their business, reach their goals through technology, and view their business thoroughly to provide personalized market insights and compelling cases for change.
What You’ll Do
Responsible for strategic account planning, including industry research, competitive insight, and client forecasts.
Develop strong executive and C‑level relationships with existing and prospective Softchoice clients.
Leverage Salesforce and Softchoice sales methodology to manage accounts, opportunities, and pipelines with consistent, accurate forecasting.
Identify client business problems and influence resources to address opportunities through the solution sale of software, hardware, and services.
Maintain strategic alignment with local vendor and distribution channel partnerships.
Keep up to date on product and industry knowledge and attend product training as required.
Collaborate and engage with internal stakeholders and resources to satisfy customers’ business objectives.
What You’ll Bring To The Table
2+ years of experience in a business‑to‑business sales environment.
Experience in the technology industry preferred.
Experience navigating and understanding annual reports, financial data, and forecasting.
Solid business acumen and understanding of how to manage a sales funnel.
Understand solution selling and creating value for business clients.
Demonstrate strong verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills; ability to present complex solutions simply.
Utilize strong problem‑solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Salesforce and Office 365 applications.
High‑level commitment to exceptional customer service and relationship building.
Self‑motivated attitude with ability to work individually and in a team environment.
High‑school diploma or equivalent.
Compensation
The expected base wage rate for this role is $55,000. Combined base plus incentives at target is $110,000. The pay range represents the full pay range for this position; each individual offer will consider prior experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible for additional compensation elements including annual bonus, commissions, and a comprehensive benefits plan.
