Position Title Inside Sales Representative – Soil & Water
About Us Eijkelkamp North America provides high-quality soil and water research equipment to environmental professionals, universities, and distributors across the U.S. We are expanding our Soil & Water sales team and are looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
About the Role We are seeking a driven, articulate, and highly organized Inside Sales Representative to help grow our environmental equipment sales. In this role, you will engage with customers primarily via phone and email, manage inbound and outbound sales activities, and support both new business development and existing customer relationships. You will play a key role in nurturing ongoing sales orders, supporting distributors, and closing deals to meet revenue goals and reporting to soil & water sales managers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Outreach – Conduct outbound calls and emails to existing customers; respond promptly to inbound inquiries from new and returning clients.
Prospecting & Pipeline Development – Research and identify potential leads; build and manage a healthy sales pipeline from first contact to closing.
Sales Cycle Management – Handle follow-up calls, prepare quotes, proposals, contracts; track and manage the full sales process to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Customer Needs Assessment – Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate soil and water products; provide product demonstrations and explain features and benefits clearly.
Relationship Management – Maintain strong relationships with clients and distributors; deliver exceptional customer service and ongoing support.
CRM & Reporting – Maintain accurate, up-to-date sales activities, notes, and customer data in the CRM system; provide regular reports on pipeline status, leads, and sales performance.
Market & Product Knowledge – Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product updates; continue developing expertise on environmental sampling equipment.
Product & Service Support – Learn how to service and test equipment to support customer inquiries.
Team Collaboration – Work closely with sales, logistics, and service teams; perform additional duties as assigned to support the department.
Qualifications
Proven experience in inside sales or a similar customer-facing role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong listening skills and ability to identify customer needs.
Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and general sales tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Self‑motivated, proactive, and results‑driven attitude.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, or related field. Experience in the environmental field is a plus.
