Overview
Rapiscan Systems, Inc., an OSI Systems Company, is seeking a Business Account Specialist based in Billerica, MA.
Rapiscan Systems designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our devices inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs and contraband. They are used in airports, border crossings, railway stations, seaports, government and military installations, and nuclear facilities.
The role requires an energetic, detail‑oriented self‑starter who will assist in growing the Services business. You will work with the Business Development team to grow service revenues by supporting follow‑up and renewal of baggage/parcel system service contracts, primarily in the United States and Canada and also supporting LATAM where necessary.
Responsibilities
Interact with existing and internal customers by phone and/or e‑mail.
Create and assist in the generation of service quotes and proposals in response to bids.
Support and track renewals and opportunities using MS D365, Microsoft Excel, and MS Teams.
Support services through lead follow‑up and lead qualification.
Assist in the implementation of programs to grow service revenue.
Analyze opportunities and mine the installation base for win‑back opportunities.
Remain knowledgeable and up‑to‑date on changes and developments regarding Rapiscan products and services.
Other Work Requirements
Work with management to improve business‑related processes.
Focus on cost savings by planning and arranging travel accommodations as soon as practical.
Travel is booked via Rapiscan‑approved travel agencies and utilizes Rapiscan security travel provider.
Detail plans to improve execution of service, revenue and margin using business tools and lessons learned.
Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
Report to the manager or a senior manager any quality problems or defects to enable corrective action.
Travel Requirements
Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
Work independently to plan and arrange travel accommodations within Rapiscan guidelines.
Flexibility to handle sudden changes (e.g., customer schedules, flight delays, on‑site weather delays).
Maintain and organize expense receipts and manage administrative tasks, including timely expense submission.
Obtain necessary site passes, clearances and visas to carry out job responsibilities.
Maintain a valid passport and credit card to support business travel.
Understand and comply with company travel policy, including security travel.
Pass background checks and maintain good standing.
Qualifications
A.A. or B.S. preferred.
Minimum of 2–4 years of experience supporting complex service and sales opportunities.
Some technical background or services experience.
Ability to effectively manage proposals and administrative functions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of MS D365 or a similar ERP system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft CRM.
Working knowledge of MS D365 workflow management or a similar ERP system.
Must work independently and make logical decisions based on Rapiscan guidelines.
