We’re looking for a skilled
CAD Technician
who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to the design and construction of vital transportation structures—bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and more. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, using cutting-edge tools and software to turn concepts into reality. What You’ll Do Produce detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and graphics for a variety of transportation structures including reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and steel designs. Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency. Use state-of-the-art software such as
AutoCAD, MicroStation , and
OpenRoads Designer . Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards such as
AASHTO . Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to company drafting standards, and support project-specific standards as needed. Collaborate through file-sharing systems like
ProjectWise
and participate in quality assurance reviews. Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule. What You Bring 2+ years
of drafting experience with a focus on bridge or structural engineering projects. Associate of Applied Science
in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field. Proficiency in
MicroStation/OpenRoads
and/or
AutoCAD/Civil 3D . Bonus Points For Experience with
transportation
projects and/or
Colorado Department of Transportation
and
City and County of Denver
