Job Details
Freight: 100% touch freight, live unload at Family Dollar stores.
Coverage Area: VA, NC, DC, PA, NJ, OH, MD, and WV, all within 700 miles of the Front Royal, VA distribution center.
Mileage: Drivers run 1500 miles per week with 1-6 stops per trailer.
Schedule: Runs include nights, weekends, and holidays as they fall within the driver’s schedule. A minimum of 3 loads is required per week.
Unload Process: Drivers will earn $250 to unload Family Dollar trailers and an additional $125 per week for completing 3 loads.
Key Requirements
Unloading Freight: This role involves physically unloading freight at stores, which can be challenging but financially rewarding.
Customer Service Skills: Patience and professionalism with customers are essential.
Hard Backing: Experience with hard backing maneuvers.
Training: Orientation includes 2 full shadow runs to learn the unload process, paid at $150 per day.
