Position We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Entry-Level Structural CAD Technician

to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of infrastructure projects, supporting engineers and designers in the development of structural plans and models. Ideal candidates are proactive, communicative, and eager to grow within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of structural design documents, including bridge plans, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures.

Develop and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using

OpenBridge Modeler, MicroStation CONNECT Edition,

or

AutoCAD , depending on project requirements.

Collaborate with senior CAD technicians and the Structures CAD Manager to ensure accuracy and consistency across project deliverables.

Support multiple projects through all phases of documentation, from conceptual design to final plans.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in

AutoCAD

and/or

MicroStation , with the ability to work in one or both platforms as needed.

Ability to read and comprehend a set of engineering drawings.

Strong math and geometry skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Flexible and adaptable to changing project needs and schedules.

Experience with

3D modeling

is preferred but not required.

Required Qualifications

Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience

Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure

Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools

Experience with 3D Coordination tools

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential

Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
