Position Summary: The Community Outreach Specialist will be an integral member of the Programs Team at Tommy Nobis Center, responsible for community-based outreach to generate referrals for services. The role includes planning, marketing, and executing program activities and events aimed at supporting persons with disabilities and their families. The specialist will identify new partnership opportunities, build relationships with community partners and employers, and facilitate referrals for educational, training, and employment services. Additionally, the role involves delivering the EYES ConNect Services and EYES School-Break and Summer programs. This position requires evening and weekend work about 2-3 times a week. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of monthly and quarterly events, including planning, theme selection, procurement, marketing, coordinating staff and volunteers, and data tracking. Coordinate and deliver Tommy Nobis Center ConNect Events for students and families with engaging activities. Organize larger quarterly community events to educate, connect resources, and provide opportunities for persons with disabilities and their families, including speaker arrangements and targeted marketing. Deliver Early Youth Employment Services School-Break and Summer Programs, working with the Manager of Educational Services and Program Coordinator to promote, schedule, and execute programs, including managing intake, scheduling staff, and preparing materials. Maintain a thorough understanding of Tommy Nobis Center's programs and services to effectively educate the community and direct individuals to appropriate services. Manage volunteers for events and activities within the Programs Department. Deliver presentations and lead orientations, site tours, and community events to promote programs. Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners, including GVRA, DBHDD, and educational institutions. Identify and develop partnerships with local businesses for client training and placement opportunities. Ensure accurate documentation of engagement data, attendance, and referrals. Represent the organization as a cultural ambassador, providing tours, responding to inquiries, and ensuring transparency and trust. Communicate professionally with colleagues, partners, and the public. Assist other departments as needed and protect confidential information.
