Hours:
Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm; Friday 8:30am-6:00pm; Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm (must be flexible around branch hours)
Function:
Responsible for management and operation of the branch, promoting bank products and providing quality customer service. Performs lending activities (consumer & small business).
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure efficient operation of the branch:
Complete assigned training with Consumer Bank Training & Operations Teams.
Develop a sales and quality service culture; act as coach and team leader.
Incorporate Our Shared Future purpose and values into all team meetings.
Communicate expectations, goals and objectives to branch personnel.
Review and recommend improved operating policies and procedures.
Make recommendations for branch personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, salary changes, promotions, transfers and terminations.
Coach, guide and mentor branch team members in complex phases of their work.
Assist with operational excellence in resolving operational and customer problems.
Manage branch lending activities (consumer & small business):
Interview loan customers.
Prepare and process applications and documentation.
Prepare loan tracking reports.
Execute S&T sales conversations, taking notes in appropriate systems while profiling customers and recommending appropriate S&T loan and deposit products. (CARE certified within 6 months of hire)
Act as first-line human resource administrator:
Complete leadership (STELLAR) classes and Leadership Basics.
Coach and observe sales platform team members.
Perform ongoing coaching on Branch Playbook behaviors.
Review customer surveys as part of Customer Insight program.
Complete employee performance reviews and conduct interviews.
Coordinate with Regional Management and HR on staffing and succession planning.
Lead branch sales meetings and review sales goals.
Oversee dashboard and pipeline management.
Manage branch profitability: staffing/ES expenses, loan growth, deposit growth, fee income, efficiency ratios, budget items.
Manage community relationships and handle certain audit responsibilities.
Direct delivery of services to customers, including those with special needs.
Use product knowledge to suggest additional bank services and refer customers to other lines of business.
Utilize computer programs for outbound call list generation and support platform sales teams.
Coach and observe platform sales team on S&T sales conversations and documentation.
Communicate with branch personnel for training and review of policies and customer service responsibilities.
Ensure standards of professionalism.
Represent the bank in civic and community functions.
Interact with line-of-business partners to develop new contacts.
Stay informed of developments, trends and regulations related to branch operations.
Maintain security controls to protect the branch.
Maintain branch facilities and recommend capital improvements.
Maintain relationships with employees in other departments.
Complete NMLS requirements as part of S.A.F.E. Act certification.
Assume additional duties as required.
Education Requires a two‑year degree or equivalent; four‑year degree preferred.
Experience Five to ten years of general business experience required; five to ten years of specialized experience required. Successful completion of the retail training program required.
Physical Demands Operates a keypad device 70% of the day; electronic equipment 10%; office equipment 10%. Stand for 2 hours per day in a straight position; sit for 5 hours per day in a leaning position. Lift up to 10 lbs. twice per day, up to 20 lbs. once per day; occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs. Use manual dexterity skills for typing/data entry for up to 40% of the day. Vision: close vision 18–20” for computer work. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
