Relationship Manager - Vice President (Bilingual Japanese/English Required)

Anticipated salary range: $143,000.00 – $225,000.00. The specific salary will be based on individual qualifications, experiences, and current market compensation. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award.

Role Description This role is within the Japanese & Asian Corporate Banking Department. The main function is to build business connections with Japanese clients in energy, utilities, metal, and trading sectors based in New York, Houston, and surrounding areas, and to gather information related to finance and business development. The candidate will report to the Group Head and collaborate closely with other Relationship Managers and product partners.

Responsibilities

Build business connections with Japanese clients in energy, utilities, metal, and trading sectors.

Gather information related to finance and business development from these clients.

Track recent trends and activities within these sectors.

Support the preparation of client materials (presentations, proposals, etc.) and client presentations.

(If assigned existing clients as RM) Maintain client relationships, cultivate clients’ banking needs, and promote banking products.

Provide ad hoc reports to management.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of working experience in corporate or investment banking, project finance.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting preferred (or equivalent education and training).

Solid communication skills with the ability to coordinate and communicate with various external and internal stakeholders.

Highly proficient MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are required.

Japanese and English language skills (business level) required.
