In-house position in Nashville TN. Relocation possible.
Role Description
Direct Response Copywriter role. Full-time onsite in Nashville Metropolitan Area. Responsibilities include creating high-impact direct response copy across channels, crafting press releases, marketing copy, research, proofreading, maintaining consistent messaging and tone.
Purpose of Position
Outstanding, Grade A, Direct Response Copy, especially long form, and especially Financial/Investment related copy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead producer of a seasoned team of writers, art designers, editors, and creative support personnel to consistently produce high quantity and quality Direct Response copy on‑time and on‑budget. Produce both long form and short form copy: digital ads, VSL scripts, 20-page Magalogs, Newsalogs. Establish and maintain best practices in developing and achieving exceptional work product through effective communication, follow‑up, and timely production of deliverables as promised, ensuring client satisfaction above industry expectations and promoting repeat business.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Creative Director, Account Executives, and other Creative Department personnel to determine client needs and expectations and develop impactful copy on time. Act as the primary copy writer for the entire agency. Maintain consistent communication with internal departments and provide ongoing status updates to Account Executives and clients as needed. Collaborate with senior management and staff in Sales, Production, Finance, and Operations to produce winning campaigns that exceed client expectations and meet profit and client retention goals. Monitor quality of work produced and provide regular direct communication with subordinates. Stay informed of market developments and determine competitive factors to keep company viable and profitable. Assist subordinates with skills development, provide consistent feedback. Maintain high level of organization and follow‑through in oversight of sales and business development objectives.
Job Accountabilities
Strong team player attributes as a member of the Senior management team. Tact and diplomacy in addressing all external and internal representation of the company. Consistent honesty and integrity in dealing with all Creative Department and overall company issues. Strong planning and organization abilities ensuring rapid learning and follow‑through on time‑sensitive job requirements. Hands‑on oversight of jobs in‑process to ensure they are completed on‑time and on‑budget. Dependable and reliable in punctuality, attendance, and focused follow‑through with clients, vendors and internal personnel. Sound time management in the execution of all job duties and responsibilities. Maintain consistent communication with Sales Department and clients regarding job progress. Communicate significant workflow challenges and alternative suggestions for solving them.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Writing, Press Releases, and Proofreading. Effective Communication and Marketing abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in an on‑site team environment. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
