Premier Account Executive USI Insurance Services

Overview The Premier Account Executive is responsible for providing comprehensive risk management and insurance consultation for high‑net‑worth individuals and family offices. The role partners with Private Risk Advisors, onboards new clients, conducts portfolio reviews, evaluates assets and exposures, recommends coverage, and negotiates premiums. All work follows USI’s service standards and Best Practices.

Responsibilities

Maintain a minimum of 95% retention of Client Accounts through proactive engagement, including contacting clients who have moved business to determine why the business was lost.

Provide technical expertise on insurance coverage and products, stay abreast of industry updates, and serve new and existing clients via cross‑selling opportunities and account development.

Conduct annual or semi‑annual client meetings with clients and their advisors as requested.

Manage the USI New Business Process: establish communication plans, review policies for accuracy, deliver welcome packets, and correct any issues with both client and carrier.

Lead the client pre‑renewal process: review current coverage, claims history, loss analysis, and recommend risk mitigation strategies. Prepare and present renewal proposals and manage the renewal process with client advisors.

Collaborate with other Premier Client Advisors to provide technical assistance and market knowledge.

Execute policy renewals, issue proof of insurance, deliver or cancel policies, and maintain renewal calendars to avoid coverage lapses.

Respond promptly and professionally to underwriters’ questions.

Maintain high accuracy in agency management and document management systems.

Guide clients in submitting first reports of claims and facilitate prompt carrier responses.

Identify loss exposures and recommend appropriate coverage or mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in Personal Lines Property & Casualty Insurance with a comprehensive understanding of all coverage, underwriting, and rating concepts.

High school graduate; college degree preferred but not required.

Must hold a state Property & Casualty insurance license.

Industry designation (ARM, CIC, CPCU, CPRIA) preferred; otherwise, a demonstrated intent to pursue a designation.

Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to handle complex tasks with many variables.

Comfortable with internet‑based programs and intermediate Microsoft Office skills; knowledge of Sagitta/WorkSmart preferred.

Able to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal instruction and high accuracy.

Proficiency in setting priorities and managing workflow for efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions.

Maintains cordial and effective relationships with clients, co‑workers, carriers, vendors, and other contacts; works well in a team environment.

Keeps informed about industry information, new products, legislation, coverages, and technology to improve knowledge and performance.

Effectively utilizes good communication skills to collaborate and provide guidance toward business goals.
