What we are looking for
As an Inside Account Manager at August Schell, you will learn key strategy, marketing, and sales techniques to help identify and develop new customer relationships. You will gain valuable knowledge in the latest cutting-edge technologies and build your network within federal, state, and local government agencies. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong positive relationships with our partners and customers, creating new business development initiatives, and promoting the August Schell mission.
What you will do Provide direct support to a Senior Account Manager
Strategize campaigns and account planning
Support quoting and follow ups within assigned territory
Generate sales leads and qualify sales opportunities
Provide direct support to August Schell’s current contract vehicles (SEWP, GSA, ESI)
Build and maintain strong relationships with top OEM partners and distributors, providing monthly renewal updates and driving upsell campaigns
Generate new business opportunities through renewals, marketing events, and LinkedIn outreach
Increase sales and market share through focused prospecting
Attend Networking/Marketing events including IT shows, industry conferences, webcast, workshops
Work to meet quarterly/annual goals set by Senior Account Manager
Other duties as assigned
What you will bring
Core Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, and/or Marketing (or relevant experience).
Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
Experience working at a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) or Distribution
Must thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
Must be a competitive, self-starter, with a hunter mentality
Ability to build strong and trusted customer relationships
Self-motivated to achieve success in sales
Excellent communications skills (English), both written and oral
Stand out with Experience in technology sales
Prospecting experience
Experience working with the Public Sector market
DoD / Intel Agency experience is a plus
Pay Transparency
August Schell complies with Maryland pay transparency law and federal pay disclosure requirements under 41 CFR 60-1.35(c). The base salary range for this position is $45,000 to $85,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and market alignment. In addition to base compensation candidates will also be eligible for a metric-driven commission, bonus and/or incentive opportunities. A competitive bonus structure. This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). We offer a competitive benefits package including health insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off and professional development opportunities.
