Entry level - Biochemist - Protein Conjugation
Full-time · General knowledge of biochemistry, protein chemistry, or related disciplines. · Hands-on experience with basic bioconjugation reactions (e.g., maleimide/thiol) and purification techniques. · Familiarity with routine laboratory instruments and applicable software. · Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. · Ability to follow established policies and procedures. · Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure timely delivery. · Ability to maintain neat, accurate, and complete batch records. · Capable of training others effectively. Education: · Bachelor's degree in a biological science discipline. · At least 2 years of relevant experience in protein conjugation. · Ability to perform conjugation processes accurately and independently, with a solid understanding of techniques and background. · Must learn and execute standard and custom protein conjugation methods independently. · Will collaborate with application testing scientists and dye chemists to evaluate conjugate performance. · Technical skills include operation of pipettes, spectrophotometers, fluorimeters, pumps, fraction collectors, water baths, and chromatography systems (FPLC, ion exchange, SEC) and ultrafiltration. All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
