Hope Community Resources, Inc. is a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1968, our company provides services and supports to people of all ages and abilities who experience an intellectual, developmental, or other disability, traumatic brain injury, or mental health challenge.
The Hope Studios Support Liaison plays a key role in connecting individuals who experience intellectual, developmental, or other disabilities with creative, therapeutic programs that foster growth, inclusion, and self-expression. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Liaison helps develop and implement personalized support plans, coordinates participation in Discovery Center activities, and ensures services align with each person’s goals. This role blends case management with hands-on support, promoting a safe, engaging environment where individuals can thrive.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree in Health Science, Social Science, Special Education or related field required; and,
Two years of experience working in social services, one year of which involves responsibility for case management or service coordination required.
Equivalent combination of related education and/or work experience.
Additional Requirements
Possesses a valid Alaska driver’s license and has at least one year of driving experience (may include permit time). Obtains a driving record at time of employment and as requested by management.
Able to safely operate Agency vehicles when needed. Possesses reliable transportation and vehicle insurance when transporting support recipients or conducting Agency business.
Meets State and Agency requirements for passing a criminal background check upon hire and as required thereafter.
Lifts 25 pounds from a squat and kneel position on the floor.
Works at a desk/computer workstation for a minimum of six hours per day.
Completes all required State, Agency, department, and position specific training as assigned.
Obtains a tuberculin clearance at time of employment and annually thereafter.
