Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
1–2 years of experience coordinating, planning, and executing group activities and events
Effective verbal and written communication in English with residents, staff, and vendors
Proficient with standard office equipment
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Driving responsibilities may include use of company or personal vehicle for program activities
Compliance with the Company’s Motor Vehicle Policy standards
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and use of iPad/tablet and other technology devices
Responsibilities
Lead assigned Engage Life programs and develop associated daily, weekly, and monthly plans
Create creative ways for residents to connect and engage with community, hobbies, interests, and outside community
Teach and lead exercise classes and assist in use of fitness equipment
Motivate residents through spontaneity, simple pleasures, purpose, and strength; focus on residents who may be confined to apartments
Welcome new residents, encouraging engagement and introductions to residents with similar interests
Implement company‑designed programs as outlined
Inform residents about upcoming activities and maintain current schedule of events
Prepare and publish an engaging monthly program calendar incorporating company timelines
Support operations in achieving customer satisfaction scores meeting or exceeding company standards
Conduct community opening and closing procedures as required
Act as manager on duty when required
Engage in community public relations, including collaboration with the Support Center public relations and creation of local positive publicity stories
Coordinate departmental needs and goals within specified budget
Hire, train, supervise, coach, and performance manage drivers; collaborate on transportation schedules and event planning
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers as applicable
Plan parties, events, and activities; decorate community seasonally and for holidays; plan birthday celebrations and life events
Maintain clean and organized activity spaces and work area
Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
