Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Summary The Senior Plumber will be responsible to install, maintain and repair sanitation units, water and gas supply lines, heating systems and associated equipment in a commercial setting. You will also be required to design and inspect plumbing systems, perform diagnostics, and ensure the comply with state and local codes. To be successful as a plumber you should be able to work independently and solve problems quickly and efficiently. To excel in this position you should have strong technical skills, be a master at troubleshooting and enjoy dealing with people.
Job Duties
Reads and interprets blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing systems and fixtures.
Cuts, welds and assembles pipes, tubes, fittings and fixtures.
Inspects and tests plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
Handles customer queries and responding to work orders.
Troubleshoots and resolves problems.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Four years of relevant experience.
Certification/Licenses/Registration Required:Current Journeyman Plumber License issuedby the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a plumber Good working knowledge of water supply, heating and ventilation systems.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
Good listening and communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and patience.
Physical dexterity and the ability to use a ladder.
Work Authorization Requirement:
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
