Senior Designer The Senior Designer will work cross functionally with Graphic Design, Sales and Merchandising to oversee multiple design areas while facilitating the design and merchandising of apparel lines. Responsibilities Shop the market to research and identify current trends and present competitive data as it is related to their prospective area of responsibility to establish key objectives for the brand Ensure accuracy of tech packs and design catalog Manage the overall design process to ensure that the design team is successfully meeting business needs according to the design time and action calendar Manage and oversee the overall design process to ensure that lines are meeting the style plans, sales needs and emerging trends Present concept and vision in licensor and sales meetings Work closely with Sales and Merchandising teams to conceptualize and launch clothing lines for several levels of distribution Supervise and lend feedback regarding sampling communication between sample room, Design, and cross-functional teams as needed Recruit top talent, train and develop team members Oversee Fashion Show concepting, styling and go-sees Supervise design staff and provide direction and management throughout the design process Special projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design 8+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children’s wear knowledge a plus) Ability to travel as needed Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail Ability to lead and develop a team of designers at all levels Brand appropriate aesthetic #J-18808-Ljbffr
