Who is FLAC?
The Family-Led Autism Collective (FLAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring families have access to high-quality, evidence-based tools, education, and support. We build digital products that help families navigate autism services more easily and with greater confidence.
What you’ll own
- Own the end-to-end creative workflow for short-form product launch videos, from concept to final delivery.
- Translate high-level ideas into emotionally compelling 20–30 second launch videos that communicate why our products matter to families.
- Develop storyboards, visual concepts, and creative direction independently, incorporating feedback at key review points.
- Edit and produce polished videos using stock footage, motion graphics, animation, text overlays, and music, aligned with FLAC’s brand.
- Deliver final assets optimized for web, product pages, and marketing channels.
The skills you bring
- Advanced experience with professional video editing tools (e.g., Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent).
- Strong background in motion design, animation, and visual storytelling.
- Proven ability to create high-quality launch or brand videos (consumer-tech, product, or nonprofit experience preferred).
- Excellent creative judgment and the ability to work from loosely defined briefs.
- Strong communication skills and comfort owning creative decisions end-to-end.
What success looks like
- A high-quality 30-second emotional launch video for FLAC’s ABA Finder tool that feels comparable to modern consumer-tech product launches.
- Clear, compelling storytelling that resonates emotionally with families and caregivers.
- On-time delivery of concept, storyboard, draft, and final cut with minimal revisions.
- Stakeholder approval that the video is “launch-ready” and representative of FLAC’s mission and quality bar.
Contractor details
- Fully remote
- Independent contractor status; contractor is responsible for their own taxes, benefits, and insurance
- Expected commitment: Project-based, engaged as needed (approximately once every 1–2 months)
- Duration: Per-project, with potential for ongoing work as new tools are launched
- Compensation: Hourly or per-project, to be agreed upon per engagement
