Base Pay Range $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr Position Details Position: Social Media Coordinator Location: New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA (not remote) Start Date: Immediate About: The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is a professional lacrosse league in North America, composed of 8 teams rostered with the best players in the world. Co‑founded by lacrosse superstar Paul Rabil and his brother Mike Rabil, the PLL is backed by an investment group composed of Joe Tsai Sports, The Raine Group, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and other top investors in sports and media. The PLL is distributed through an exclusive media rights agreement with ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+. The Social Media Coordinator will serve as the digital voice for a PLL team, creating thumb‑stopping content that resonates with both lifelong lacrosse fans and newcomers to the sport. The role collaborates with various departments of the league to develop compelling visual stories, timely reactive content, and innovative campaigns that drive engagement and grow the community. A deep understanding of social media trends, platform‑specific best practices, and the ability to adapt tone and style across multiple channels is required. The coordinator will monitor the PLL online ecosystem, engage authentically with fans, handle community management, and identify opportunities to join relevant conversations that elevate the league's presence. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 3 years experience managing social media for a brand, sports team, or organization Portfolio demonstrating successful social media content and campaigns Strong proficiency across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms Basic video editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar platforms Exceptional copywriting abilities with platform‑specific expertise and strong attention to detail Experience creating TikToks, Instagram Reels, Stories, and other short‑form vertical content Deep knowledge of internet culture, memes, and social media trends Understanding of lacrosse (rules, players, teams) or strong willingness to learn quickly Passion for sports with ability to create content for both dedicated fans and casual audiences Self‑motivated with excellent organizational, project management, and problem‑solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain composure under pressure Strong collaboration and communication skills with creative and cross‑functional teams Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and travel for games and events Compensation $55,000 - $65,000 Based on the candidate's experience, seniority, and location The total compensation package includes Annual Bonus, Health, Life, Dental, and Vision Insurance, 401(k) plan, Equity Sharing, Mental Health Stipend, Unlimited PTO, and Paid Parental Leave Equal Employment Opportunity We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
