Social Media Account Manager
Department & Reporting
Marketing; Reporting To: Account Director(s); FLSA Status: Full time, Exempt
Requirements
- Has direct experience managing social media accounts on behalf of clients, including proactive community management
- Is experienced in Sprout Social and/or HeyOrca (or similar social media management tool)
- Is familiar with using Meta Business Manager and devising successful social advertising campaigns
- Is experienced in onboarding/offboarding clients and assigning asset permissions in Meta Business Manager
- Is experienced in graphic design software, including Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Has photography skills or experience (DSLR or mirrorless)
- Has familiarity with Lightroom for basic photo editing and asset optimization
- Expertly captures and creates visually compelling Instagram Reels or TikTok video content using Edits, CapCut, Splice, Adobe Premiere Pro or other similar tools
- Has existing working knowledge of influencer relations/negotiations (paid and organic) and how that impacts social media growth
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Is detail-oriented, creative, empathetic, strategic, and results-oriented
- Possesses a keen interest in and passion for food/cocktail culture, restaurants, travel, and the hospitality industry in general
- Has excellent writing skills, which can be applied creatively and effectively to anything, including an Instagram post, a case study or client email campaign
- Is a natural networker and team player with strong social skills who can juggle multiple projects with finesse
- A strong storytelling abilities compelling audiences to pay attention
- Serves as a knowledgeable mentor to account coordinator(s) and/or intern(s)
- Fosters a fun, friendly, professional and efficient work environment
- Brings strategic rigor and a high quality of work to every assigned account, project or task
- Displays friendliness, courtesy and attentiveness to client needs
- Is highly productive and efficient in time management
- Responds promptly to internal and external communication
- Remains nimble and resourceful with shifting client needs
- Experience using Google Workspace, Asana and Slack as part of their day-to-day work (or other similar platforms)
- Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and have access to a vehicle
- Requires two to three years of experience, with strong social media management and digital content experience, complemented by sharp communication and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Manage proactive and reactive communication with each client in a timely manner, ensuring their needs and deadlines are met and tasks are assigned to internal team members
- Collaborate with account teams on the promotion of client events and activations
- Directly manage 6-8 client social media profiles, including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
- Create content for social media, including capturing images and video clips to create Reels and TikToks, as well as graphic designs for social media use
- Create and manage social media ad campaigns through Meta Business Manager
- Develop monthly content calendars
- Post social media content using Sprout Social and native platforms where needed
- Oversee and manage professional photo and video shoots by identifying and coordinating with local photographers/videographers, creating shot lists, timelines, and reviewing/editing final images
- Assist in overall digital brand strategy and messaging for all clients
- Determine, track and report on social media KPIs in accordance with client goals
- Measure campaign effectiveness and utilize data to make informed strategic or tactical recommendations
- Develop social media playbooks in accordance with brand guidelines shared by clients, outlining content pillars, visual identity, and social media and content strategies
- Working with a fantastic team of PR and marketing professionals who are passionate about our industry and clients

Compensation
