Labor Relations Specialist Job at Madison-Oneida BOCES in New York

Madison-Oneida BOCES in Verona, NY, is looking for a full-time experienced Labor Relations Specialist to work with school district leaders and serves as a chief negotiator for participating school districts. This position will report to the Director of Labor Relations & Policy and the Deputy Superintendent. Our ideal candidates will be able to: Represent participating school districts in matters such as: Personnel and employee relations Disciplinary proceedings Investigation of employment discrimination claims Administration of collective bargaining agreements Analyze trends in existing employment, wage and salary practices Plan and conduct workshops and seminars for administrative personnel Develop policies and procedures What you bring to our team: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in collective bargaining and labor relations, preferably in the public sector Familiarity with federal and state law governing: Employee relations Operations of school districts 3-5 years of experience in public sector labor relations preferred Why you want to work here: MOBOCES is a regional educational agency that assists students, teachers, support staff, school administrators and school districts in our region.
