Senior Manager, UX/UI Design AI – (Hybrid)
Lead our AI UX/UI Design Team, building and growing a high‑performing design group while driving the product experience through customer‑centric design work. This role blends people management with hands‑on design, collaborating with users, engineers and product managers to deliver outstanding digital experiences.
Base Pay Range
$146,575 – $229,600 per year
Location & Hybrid Requirements
Hybrid role – on‑site 2–3 days per week in either Palo Alto, CA or Manhattan, NYC.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, engineering and business teams to uncover customer and business needs and translate them into digital experiences.
- Translate complex ideas into understandable concepts, evolving and enhancing the product experience.
- Manage shifting priorities, providing clear direction and input on product prioritization and early product definition.
- Advocate for the customer through human‑centered design methods, including discovery, research sessions and user testing.
- Facilitate and participate in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs.
- Drive end‑to‑end product design by framing problems, designing insights, and creating new methodologies/practices to serve customer needs.
- Create process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models.
- Deliver design assets for acceptance, development and market delivery in partnership with engineering.
- Teach, mentor and guide designers.
- Prepare and manage department business plans, staffing projections and budgets.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in User Experience design.
- 5+ years of experience building, growing, and managing design teams.
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Generative AI and Agentic systems.
- Strong visual and UI design skills.
- Experience providing creative direction.
- Experience designing for cross‑channel experiences.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) to deliver concepts and enable collaboration.
