POSITION SUMMARY: Host is an essential part of the Dacha team who, along with other team members, is in charge of the customer experience. Professionalism, friendliness, superb tableside manners, teamwork, and nimbleness help ensure a unique dining and entertainment experience for our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties will be assigned as needed.) Must be willing and able to do the following:
Provide friendly, upbeat, and highly professional service to customers.
Ensure that every guest receives an exceptional overall experience.
Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
Take reservations from guests.
Confirm reservations daily.
Manage the flow of guests into the dining room, confirm reservations or provide accurate wait times.
Communicate special guest needs to the server and manager.
Manage the guest coat closet, take and return guests' coats, bags, hats, and other accessories.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
Come to work in a clean uniform and maintain it throughout your shift.
Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies to protect the establishment and patrons.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years of fine-dining and/or upscale casual dining hosting experience is required.
Experience with OpenTable and Resy is required.
