All About Assets Protection Assets Protection (AP) teams keep guests, team members, and the brand safe. They mitigate shortage risks, prevent theft and fraud, and ensure product availability. AP works closely with store leaders, law enforcement and public safety officials.
Responsibilities
Support store sales and profitability by preventing and resolving theft.
Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents in shortage focus areas while adhering to AP policies.
Identify theft trends using technology, surveillance and reporting tactics.
Gather intelligence and communicate key issues to reduce theft.
Use video systems to monitor theft activity.
Respond to security incidents and document all actions per AP procedures.
Promote a safety culture through training and awareness programs.
Demonstrate inclusivity and respect diverse voices.
Follow safety policies and report hazards.
Maintain positive relationships with public safety officials and law enforcement.
Participate in legal proceedings when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Enjoy interacting and helping others.
Excel in a fast‑moving, physically demanding environment that requires teamwork, flexibility and problem‑solving.
Open to flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
Minimum 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Meet any required state or local licensure and other legal requirements.
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
Proficient in communicating on multiple frequency devices and operating handheld scanners.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
