One Post‑Doctoral Research Fellow position is available immediately under the guidance of Dr. Yong Teng at the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology to study the molecular basis underpinning the new links among cancer metastasis, metabolism, and immunity. Using animal models (e.g., orthotopic and PDX models, transgenic mice) and functional genomics (e.g., CRISPR‑Cas9 or shRNA lentivirus) and unbiased big data, the Post‑Doctoral Fellow will work in an NIH‑funded laboratory to understand and reverse the molecular mechanisms involved in tumor progression and treatment resistance. The successful applicant will also be dedicated to developing novel anticancer strategies and combination therapy to achieve better clinical outcomes. Responsibilities

Design and conduct research within a specified field while receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator to enhance professional skills and research independence needed for a career in academia or industry. Design and evaluate experiments, develop new ideas that promote current research, and prepare/publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator. Operate specific equipment, teach techniques to others, train, and supervise research staff as needed. Perform tasks generally in‑person at an Emory University location; remote work options may be granted at department discretion. Minimum Qualifications

A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS, etc.) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Preference for candidates finishing graduate school or with less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Basic experience in standard laboratory techniques for molecular biology/genetics and/or immunology. Motivation, detail‑oriented, goal‑oriented, and excellent organizational skills.
