Overview
Purpose: The primary purpose of this role is to support the Therapists/RBTs and clients by filling in for missing team members, reducing non-billable hours due to grouping or credentialing. This individual will also assist the BCBAs as a team leader for clients, acting as a resource for Therapists/RBTs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct ABA therapy, prescribed by a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst, with the highest fidelity across all levels and abilities of clients. Serve as a back-up where appropriate, fill in for CA/ACA, COM if out, and assist BCBA, CA/ACA, COM so Leadership can have focused time on tasks. Act as Team Leader for a group of clients. Respond to challenging behavior when BCBA and COM are unavailable. Support BCBA with client program updates and material preparation. Center organization (toys and materials organized, broken toys removed) and report safety concerns to CA (broken toys, furniture issues, holes in walls, etc.). Duties & Responsibilities: Schedule Coordination of session flow: may advise the Therapist/RBT on the overall session flow and work with them to execute client-specific navigation of the center spaces. This includes scheduling center-wide activities such as circle time, gross motor room usage, snack/lunch time, and group activities. Facilities Management Organization: responsible for organizing therapy rooms, toys, and client materials based on age appropriateness. All center staff contribute to overall organization. Safety Checks:
responsible for weekly center walkthroughs to conduct safety checks and report concerns directly to the CA/ACA. This includes removal/reporting of broken toys, property destruction, and safety concerns with playroom equipment or furniture. The CA may assist with safety checks but is responsible for purchasing and/or scheduling repairs as necessary based on SRBT reports. Parent Communication Customer Service: contributes to the overall customer experience through daily parent interactions related to on-the-floor application within therapy. SRBT shares responsibility in modeling effective customer interactions to therapist/RBTs. Clinical Quality LEARN Tree: may assist with updates by updating client programming under the BCBA’s guidance and programming direction provided by the BCBA. Plan Updates: may assist and contribute through observations of clients and by assisting with re-assessments and initial assessments of clients through material preparation and/or assisting with assessments with the BCBA. RBT/Therapists:
Contribute and/or serve as back-up as appropriate to New Hire Introductions, New Hire training, Training, and Daily note quality checks. Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential RBT V Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Written and verbal communication skills Willingness to learn and implement new skills and ability to work on a team Performs other duties as assigned Please Note: BI can add to or remove duties as often as needed.
