Overview
The BRANCH ISD Special Education Department seeks a part-time Translator - Haitian Creole to support students pre-K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments. The department provides instructional services, hearing and vision services, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. This position is for someone who respects diversity and has a passion to work with students with disabilities.
Responsibilities
Listening to, understanding, and translating spoken or written statements from one language to another.
Reproducing statements in another language for a specific listening or reading audience.
Qualifications
Education and/or certification: High school diploma/GED (required).
Employment details
Employment type: Part-time, as needed; hours are dependent on need.
Pay rate: $15.00/hour.
