Responsibilities
Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre‑action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam‑based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.
Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
Provide subject‑matter expertise to peers.
Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions.
Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules.
Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites.
Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types.
Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site.
Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water‑Based Systems Level II or state certification.
On‑the‑job experience with:
Reading and understanding design and construction documents. Estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs.
3+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
Must be able and willing to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted.
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or state‑recognized GED.
5+ years of experience performing ITM of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems.
Must obtain NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water‑Based Systems Level III or state certification within 12 months.
